I don't do New Year's Resolutions

You don’t have to wait till the beginning of a new year to make resolutions for yourself. It’s all about loving and taking care of the only body you will ever have…cherish it, love it, embrace it… because when you do…it begins to show. – Demi Lovato Hello Warriors So I don’t believe in New Year resolutions, well maybe at one point in my life I did but the past few years not a single one has been made. 2016 was also the first year in a long time that I actually saw new years in and it was at a friend’s house with drinks and good food. We then went home, got into bed and slept, we then had a great new year’s day working on house renovations. Why don’t I believe in them? Well, it’s because changing your lifestyle, making a promise to yourself, wanting to change something or creating a goal doesn’t have to wait till a new year it can happen whenever you like. New year’s eve does not change the fact that tomorrow will come and it will be a new day the only thing that changed is the start of a new 365 day calendar year. People change and grow all the time, you are a new version of you every day and the “new year, new me” saying is pointless. You can become whatever you want whenever you want. You can change your lifestyle, job, add goals, stop goals, save money, lose weight, quit smoking and get healthy at any point in your life. It’s your life, do not let a numerical number of the year define and dictate when you can do something. New years resolutions are unproductive they are just something you say because we have to be programmed to think it's the right thing to do. You say it and is it actually done? probably not. Set goals, plan and work at them, create resolutions all year and at the end of 2017 celebrate how far you have come not what you are going into because the future is unknown. Celebrate the year you had, don’t define the start of a year by making a resolution and don’t wait for the new year to start your plans and goals, you can start them whenever you want. The resolution isn’t going to just happen because you made it at New Year’s, you will still need to work for it and at it. So make goals throughout the whole year, always grow and change and make every year how you want it to be and celebrate each and every day because you woke up and that’s a blessing on it's own. Happy new year everyone and if you have made a resolution I wish you all the best at sticking to it. I know that my 2017 will be great because that’s want I want it to be. Until next time, be fearless
