The Boys weekend

"I restore myself when I'm alone. " - Marilyn Monroe

Hi, Warriors,

I could be one of the few wives that will say "I love boys weekend".

Now don't get me wrong I adore my hubby and if given the chance I will spend every minute with him but I also like my time alone and when he heads out on a boys weekend there is nothing more than I like to do then enjoy myself.

Recently Dale headed up to a farm and went on a shooting weekend with a few boys and when he told me he was going, I already started planning my weekend alone. See I am a bit of a loner I enjoy time to myself so I packed up his stuff for him, organised dinner with a couple of friends for Friday night and planned out my Saturday of cleaning, gardening and sorting my beautiful patio and getting dinner that I like and watching a movie all with my little doggo in tow. Friday night was wonderful in which I caught up with two beautiful friends and we enjoyed tacos, talking and weird hand gestures. Saturday I slept in, did my gardening and patio as planned, got my fish and chips and enjoyed my evening. On Sunday hubby came home and we had a great day together, he even brought home fresh kangaroo and cooked me dinner, I am certainly one lucky girl.

What I don't get is why so many wives, girlfriends, and partners complain about boys nights or weekends aways. Ladies your guys work hard, let them enjoy themselves and when they're gone organize things you like to do, dinner with friends, a spa day or just a simple movie day in your PJs. I know for a fact my guy works to the bone to make sure we have the life we do and he always showers me with gifts and loves so when he said boys weekends I said have fun, be safe and I love you and sent him on his merry way. He came back relaxed, happy and there for keeping our relationship happy and healthy. The saying is defiantly true distance makes the heart grow fonder.

Until next time, be Fearless.
